Warrant Officer 2 Robert Brown, 3 Cdo. Bde. HQ., received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of his service during operations in the South Atlantic. 
He had taken command of the Royal Marines Police Troop just one week before the start of Operation Corporate, his O.C. having broken a leg.
During the campaign in the Falklands he was made responsible for coordinating the control and helping to arrange the repatriation of thousands of Prisoners of War, and to re-establish the local Police Force in Port Stanley.
