Second Lieutenant (Temporary Captain) Edward Wright was awarded the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in Myebon, Burma on 15 January 1945 whilst temporarily attached from the Indian Army to No.1 Commando as a F.T.O. for the Tank Squadron providing supporting fire [1].
