Extract from the Coventry Evening Telegraph
"Arab Nationalists launched a fierce attack with bazookas and automatic weapons on a British commando patrol, fatally wounding a Marine officer. The clash, in the Maalla district of Aden, came a few hours after the two Nationalist groups struggling for power agreed on a ceasefire and pledged not to resume fighting in any part of South Arabia. The British patrol was attacked as it searched huts in the Maalla area. The officer, a Royal Marine commando, died in hospital today."
