Commando Roll of Honour after WW2
Roll of Honour Army and Royal Marines Commandos after WW2
We hope eventually to list the names of all Commandos, Army and Royal Marines, who have died in action, of wounds, or whilst on active service, since the surrender of Japan on August 15th 1945 or VJ Day. At present it may not be complete, and we recognise there may be some errors or omissions. Some names may also be included on the WW2 ROH if deemed appropriate. Follow this link to view our ROH for WW2
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them"
All commemorated in perpetuity by the Commando Veterans Association
** kia = killed in action; dow = died of wounds often as result of suicide bombing or improvised explosive device; rtc = road traffic collision
