History of the Association

The Commando Veterans Association (CVA) was founded when the original Commando Association made a decision to stand down in 2005. Some members wished to continue as a group and formed the CVA.

The Commando Association (originally titled The Old Comrades Association of the Army Commandos) was formed in 1943 at the Commando Basic Training Centre.
