The exact circumstances of the death of Marine Allen Stanton are not known to this archive.

However he is named on a plaque located at the Landing Craft Branch Museum, RM, Poole, Hamworthy, Dorset Inscription: This Memorial was presented by the family of Lieutenant R. J. McConnell, RM, who died whilst serving at ATURM (Amphibious Training Unit Royal Marines) . It is in memory of all ranks of the Landing Craft Branch of the Royal Marines who have died on duty since the end of the Second World War.
