Major Vivian Rowe received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of service within the operations in Northern Iraq and Southern Turkey [1].
- Previously served in the Sultan’s Armed Forces 1972-1974, 2nd in command of 'C' Company of the Northern Frontier Regiment. In 1981 he assumed command of the Kateeba Jannoobya in Dhofar until he left the Sultan’s Armed Forces in 1984 [2].
- 3 April 2000 (Lieutenant Colonel) to retired list [3].
