Stan Smith Commando Association Edinburgh Branch
No.4 Commando and 1st Special Service Brigade. Took part in Operation Jubilee at Dieppe.
Stan Smith was the Founder and Chairman of the Edinburgh Branch of the Commando Association. For many years Stan provided free of charge all printing, stationary, and headed notepaper for the Commando Association, the Commandos' Benevolent Fund, and also items of stationary for the Edinburgh and Central Ayrshire Branches.
His wife Rita was also a great supporter of the Edinburgh Branch. In 1984 they moved out of Edinburgh to the North of Scotland but due to business connections in the city remained in close contact.
