Lance Corporal David McGill was wounded 22 May 1940 during operations at Bodo, Norway (Scissors Force). Received gunshot wounds to his left leg and abdomen. Dangerously ill, evacuated to the hospital ship HMHS Aba. Died of his wounds and buried at sea. Son of David and Elizabeth Thomson McGill, of Alyth, Perthshire.
