S.Lt. Colin Haslett was attached to 'C' or Charlie section [view record] of the RN Beach Commandos at the time of his death [1] +[2]. The date of his death is that of the date of Operation Jubilee at Dieppe in which Charlie section lost a considerable number of Officers and men, the sub-unit 'C' 2 having to be replaced in toto [2].

The CWGC show his Unit as HMS Quebec. This was a Combined Operations Training Establishment in Largs.
