MARSH, David John
Mne. Marsh, Charlie Company, was conducting a patrol in the vicinity of Kajaki, Helmand province, accompanied by Lieut. John Thornton, when the vehicle they were travelling in was caught in an explosion. Medical treatment was provided prior to both being evacuated to the field hospital at Camp Bastion. From 45 Commando there followed a period with the Fleet Protection Group Royal Marines before he chose to become an Anti-Tank specialist in 2006. He joined 40 Commando Royal Marines in December 2006.
