Captain William Wylie died of injuries sustained in a traffic accident on 13 December 1943 when his commando truck heading to Brighton Station was hit by a Naval truck with several injured. Son of Maj. John Price Wylie, D.S.O., The Sherwood Foresters (Notts. and Derby Regt.), and Helen J. Wylie of Epsom, Surrey; husband of Noel Wylie, of Euston, Suffolk. Lieutenant Bernard Skinner, No.6 Commando, also died.
