Lieutenant Bernard Skinner died in a traffic accident when his commando truck heading to Brighton Station was hit by a Naval truck with several injured. Lieutenant Skinner was sent to Royal Sussex Hospital where he later died. Son of John Bannister Skinner and Ethel Annie Skinner, of Caversham, Reading, Berkshire. Captain Wylie, No.6 Commando, also died.
