Cemetery/Memorial: 
Commissioned February 1934. Officer Commanding No.4 Commando 'A' Troop. Left the Commando 8 July 1941. Attached No.8 Infantry Training Centre until joining the 9th Queen's Royal Lancers in September 1941. Embarked for the Middle East arriving late November. Briefly attached to the 2nd Bn., Black Watch until nominally posted to the Middle East Commando in April 1942 having joined the Special Boat Section. Died as a result of a road accident 18 August 1942, SBS attached 'L' Detachment Special Air Service Regt. Son of the Hon. Francis Cuninghame Montgomerie and Alice Dudley Montgomerie, of Melrose, Roxburghshire.
