Stan Worsley a warehouseman from Salford was attested into the Royal Marines 19 October 1943 and later joined 45RM Commando 'E' Troop.
07.06.1944 prisoner of war during operations at Normandy, France.
16.04.1945 escaped from captivity to allied lines.
14.06.1945 to 11 June 1946 resumed operational service with the Commandos.
12.06.1946 to 05.10.1946 Portsmouth Division.
05.10.1946 released from service Class 'A'.
