Captain Michael Macpherson, Officer Commanding 'Q' Troop, died during operations at Sarande, Albania. Son of Commander and Mrs. A.D.L. Macpherson of Stonehouse, Daventry.
Prior to commando service he was a Lieutenant in Mobile Naval Base Defence Organisation 1 (M.N.B.D.O.1) and in 1941 participated in the rearguard action to evacuate allied forces from Crete.
