John Rogan 4 Commando

John Rogan, known as Tommy, was attested into the Royal Artillery in 1938 and in 1940 was part of the British Expeditionary Force evacuated from Dunkirk. He then volunteered for the Commandos and served with them until wounded June 1944 during the Normandy landings in France. Evacuated to hospital in the UK. Medically discharged December 1944 due to injuries. Post war member of the Commando Association from County Durham.
