July 1943 5th Bn., disbanded, re-designated 45RM Commando.
November 1943 course at Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry.
1944 attended No.11 Snipers Course at Gosport.
6 June 1944, 'B' Troop, embarked Landing Craft 518 at Warsash for Normandy.
1945, Wesel, seriously wounded. To 6th Gen Hospital Belgium. Evacuated to hospital in the UK.
