Guardsman Robert Witney, 'F' Troop, was wounded during operations in Western Europe. Post war member of the Commando Association from Hayes, Middlesex [1][2].
He took part in Operation Infatuate where he became a casualty in a motorcycle accident. He was taken to a Field Hospital in Bruges and evacuated to the UK. Guardsman Witney was eventually medically discharged with 40% disability [3].
