Private Thomas Sando was reported missing 6 December 1942 in North Africa, later reported as dying of wounds the following day whilst a prisoner of war [1][1a].
At the time of his death his Commando were engaged in operations at Bizerte, Tunisia.

Commando Dies Of Wounds:- Private Thomas Sando, Welch Regiment, of No. 1 Commando, is reported to have died of wounds in Tunisia. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Sando. of 16 Rowan Road, Brentford, and late of Ealing Road, Brentford.[2] 
He was married to Edith [1].
