Cemetery/Memorial: 
Private Ivor Knill died of wounds during operations in France. At the time of his death his Commando, with the rest of the 1st Special Service Brigade, were engaged in an operation in the area of Le Plain Gruchet to infiltrate enemy lines and continue the offensive towards the Seine [1][2][3].
  • 14 July 1943 wounded during operations at Agnone, Sicily (3 Commando Bridge) [4][4a].
