Notes
The date of his death was 5 days before Operation Exporter, the raid at Litani River, and coincides with the date of mobilisation for the raid.
"On the night of the 3rd June, the 11th Commando received a rush order to embark from Famagusta and after midnight the destroyers Hotspur and Ilex arrived to take them to Port Said. Colonel Pedder went to Jerusalem to receive orders while the Commando transferred to Glengyle."  Source: Ian McHarg's book about Litani River.
