William Price Jones, a Gardener from Conway in Caernarvonshire, enlisted 17 January 1940. After volunteering for the Commandos he was attached to No.3 Commando. Lance Sergeant Jones was reported missing 14 July 1943 during operations in Sicily, later found to be a prisoner of war.

John Leonard Dickinson joined Hull City Police as PC 239 on 7 October 1935. In WW2 he volunteered for the Commandos enlisting 26 July 1942 as part of the 2nd Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry.

Captain Jan Linzel was was awarded the M.B.E. (Military Division) in 1946. He had been a member of 2 (Dutch) Troop of No.10 Inter Allied Commando from its formation in 1942 and took command in 1943 until the Troop was disbanded in August 1945.
