Colour Sergeant Lee John Waters, Recce Troop, was shot three times while on tour in Afghanistan; in the face, in his left hand, and in his left foot [Source: MOD].

Captain Jon White, Recce Troop Commander, was severely injured when he stood on an Improvised Explosive Device while on patrol with 40 Commando Royal Marines in 2010 during Operation Herrick 12, at Sangin, Afghanistan. Jon lost both his legs above the knee, and his right arm at the elbow.
