Cemetery/Memorial:
Corporal George McKenna died in Corfu. His Commando were engaged in policing operations there after recently liberating the island. He received a Mention in Despatches for devotion to duty during operations in the Mediterranean theatre covering a period from 1st April to 10th September, 1944. Son of George and Mary Ellen McKenna, of Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.
