Notes on initials/forenames
CasList WO417/44 shows initial as 'C' however this was later amended to 'G'. The German Record Cards of British POWs / National Archives file WO416/195/295 show this man as 7014212 Rifleman Charles Jack Jarvis, Royal Ulster Rifles, born 3 October 1920 in Waterford. In the August 1941 photo of 3 Troop No.2 Commando there is a Private Jack Jarvis named but not identified.
