7 January 1949 Captain Dennis Aldridge, who had served during the war with 44RM Commando [1], was appointed MBE (Military Division) for gallant and distinguished services with 40 Commando RM in Palestine during the period 27th March, 1948 - 30th July, 1948. [2]
- 18 May 1951 (Captain) (Local Major) (41 Independent Commando RM) awarded the Military Cross for gallant and distinguished service in operations in Korea. [3]
- Major Aldridge MBE, MC was also awarded the Silver Star bestowed by the President of the United States of America for gallant and distinguished services during operations in Korea. [4]
- 13 June 1957 (Major) (42 Commando RM) awarded a Bar to the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in operations in the Near East (Suez), October to December 1956. [5]
