Denis Ernest Martin Brook, a Food Packer from Surrey, enlisted into the Armed Forces 22 January 1940.  Trooper Brook, attached to 'A' Battalion of Layforce, was reported missing later confirmed prisoner of war 20 April 1941 during an operation at Bardia, Cyrenaica, Libya.

Sydney Herbert Davidson, a Draughtsman from Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, enlisted into the Armed Forces March 1939, later volunteering for commando service. He was attached to No.7 Commando and embarked with them for the Middle East as part of Layforce.
