Remained in military service post war. 1964 Major and Deputy Assistant Military Secretary to His Excellency The Governor and Commander in Chief Gibraltar. 1 January 1969 appointed M.B.E. (Military Division). 4 January 1978 Captain (Local Major) to retired list after 36 years of service granted honorary rank of Major. Last Royal Marine Officer to have served with 3 Commando Brigade in Burma.
