Operations:
William Mattison from Torquay enlisted into the Territorial Army on 2 September 1939 having been previously employed in the Fur Trade. Volunteered for Special Service and attached to No.2 Commando. Fusilier Mattison, 3 Troop, was wounded and a prisoner of war 28 March 1942 at St Nazaire, France (Operation Chariot). Embarked for the raid on HMS Campbeltown.
