Marine William Bryce died of wounds at the 2nd Field Hospital which was located at Otok, on Vis Island, Yugoslavia. Son of James and Jessie Leitch Bryce, of Wishaw, Lanarkshire. Seven days before his death his Commando were engaged in Operation Flounced, an attack on the enemy held island of Brac.
