Lieutenant Ronnie Swayne was awarded the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished service on Motor Launch ML306 during the raid at St. Nazaire [1][2]
He was taken prisoner and later transported to Oflag 9A/H at Spangenberg bei Kassel, Germany [3][4].
  • 26 June 1979 conferred with the honour of knighthood [5].
  • 1989 appointed Vice President of the Commando Association [6].
