- 1 May 1947 promoted Lieutenant Colonel with seniority from 24 March 1944 [4].
- 23 December 1947 (Honorary Colonel) (Royal Artillery) awarded the Territorial Efficiency Decoration [5].
- 16 November 1948 granted permission to wear the Bronze Star conferred by the President of the United States of America in recognition of distinguished service in the cause of the Allies [6].
