James Bensley
Corporal James Bensley, a Royal Marines Reservist with the R.M.F.V.R. (Tyne), died during a parachute training exercise at Poole, Dorset [1][2]. James served in the Royal Artillery and No.1 Commando during the war with active service in Burma. Married with a child he was residing at Isobella Street, Newcastle, and employed as a clerk with the Ministry of Pensions [2][2a][3]. A Coroner later recorded a verdict of accidental death [4].
