Private Frank Evans took part in the raid at St. Nazaire on 28 March 1942. He embarked on motor launch ML262 and was reported missing after the raid, but was subsequently found to have been taken prisoner. He was transported to Stalag 344 at Lamsdorf, Poland. He had earlier also served at the S.T.C. and No.3 Commando*.
