Edward Sinnott 2 Commando
Lance Corporal Edward Sinnott, aged 20 and from Widnes, served in 4 Troop and was one of the commando contingent embarked on motor launch ML 306 for the raid at St Nazaire on 28 March 1942. Wounded during the raid, he was later transported to Stalag 357 at Oerbke, Nr. Fallingbostel Germany. Post war he emigrated to Australia.
