Dunstan Michael Carr Curtis RNVR

  • 28 March 1942 (Commander of MGB 314) awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for daring and valour in the attack on the German Naval Base at St. Nazaire (Operation Chariot).  Later joined 30 Assault Unit.
  • Bar to the Distinguished Service Cross for great daring and resource in successful operations in North Africa.
  • Mention in Despatches for enterprise and resource.
  • Mention in Despatches for distinguished service during the war in Europe.
  • 1 January 1963 (former Deputy Secretary General Council of Europe) appointed C.B.E. (Civil Division).
  • Member of the Commando Association from Brynawel Montgomery, Powys.
