  • 1 May 1952 promoted Acting Major [4].
  • 31 October 1954 (Major) (Royal Scots Fusiliers) to King's Regiment [5].
  • 1969 appointed O.B.E. (Civil Divsion) for services to Export [6].
*The death of Major Charles Jack Coleman, OBE., TD. ( 1 Cdo & 1st Cdo Bde) of Southport, Lancs.,  was announced in Commando Association newsletter 66 issued March 1978.
