Alec Mort at reunion
Corporal Alec Mort, from Bolton was one of the No.2 Commando 4 troop contingent for Operation Chariot, the St Nazaire raid in March 1942. He embarked on board Motor Launch ML443 and was one of those to be evacuated back to the UK. He remained with No.2 Commando (1 Troop) taking part in all of their major raids and operations attaining the rank of Company Sergeant Major.
