Captain Bryan Hilton-Jones, No.10 (Inter Allied) Commando, was the commander of 3 troop, also known as 'X' Troop. Awarded the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished service whilst commanding a series of covert beach reconnaissance operations codenamed Operation Tarbrush along the North coast of France 14-19 May 1944 gathering vital intelligence in preparation for D Day [1][2]
