George Reginald Perkins was employed as butcher's assistant in Norfolk before attesting with the Royal Artillery on 24 Aug 1937. After being evacuated from Dunkirk he volunteered for Special Service. Posted 11 Independent Company later joining No.1 Commando. Served in the Motor Transport (MT) Section. Wounded 27 February 1943 Sedjenane, Tunisia. Mentioned in Despatches, No.1 Commando, Burma. Member of the Commando Association from Norwich.
