William Forsyth was a Liverpool City Police Officer who volunteered for the Commandos. In 1939 he was a Police Constable, single, residing at 4 Lemon Grove, Liverpool. His name and commando unit are on a Liverpool City Police Roll commemorating the Police Officers from 'D' Division (Rose Hill) who served in HM Forces in WW2 currently located at St Anne Street Police Station, Liverpool. He was likely part of the 1942 Police Intakes to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. Member of the Commando Association last known residing Aigburth, Liverpool.
