William Delaney 9 Commando

Private William Delaney was wounded 19 March 1944 during operations in Italy (Anzio Beachhead). Post war member of the Commando Association.

His father and namesake 14615 Private William Henry Delaney, 9th Bn., The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, was killed during WW1 on 19 January 1916 aged 33. Remembered with honour at Gunners Farm Military Cemetery, Belgium.
