Marine Toby Gutteridge, Special Boat Service, received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in Afghanistan. His first tour in Afghanistan was with 40 Commando RM after which he passed UK Special Forces training. In November 2009 during his second tour in Afghanistan, now with the SBS, he was shot through the neck leaving him paralysed.
