Temporary Lieutenant Timothy Morgan, 40RM Commando, was awarded the Military Cross for gallant and distinguished services whilst leading a patrol at Pizzo, Italy, near Vibo Valentia, in September 1943 [1].

- 1947 - 50 (Acting Captain) Troop Commander 42 Commando RM.
- 1952 (Spring) (Captain, O.C. Royal Marines) HMS Indefatigable.
- 1956 (November) (O.C. 'Y' Troop 40 Commando RM) Suez landings at Port Said.
- 1959 promoted Major.
- 1960 (Staff Officer Operations) 45 Commando RM in Aden.
- 1966 (June) promoted Lieutenant Colonel and O.C. 42 Commando RM.
- 1970 (September) Retired.
