Trevor William Gibson, a Bricklayers Labourer from Essex, enlisted into the Royal Marines 10 December 1942 aged 18. Marine Gibson, 45RM Commando, was wounded (bullet through his left leg) and subsequently captured 8 June 1944 at Sallenelles, Normandy.
