Corporal George Sheridan was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations at Crete. In 1945 this was corrected to killed in action between the dates shown above. Son of Patrick and Elizabeth Sheridan, of Fratton, Portsmouth. In 1939 George was employed as a Timber Porter (Docks) residing with his parents at 15 Martha Street, Portsmouth.
