Fusilier Samuel Craig was attested into the Royal Artillery in 1938 and transferred to the Royal Welch Fusiliers on 4 October 1939, later volunteering for the Commandos. He was reported missing 6 December 1942 during operations at Bizerte, Tunisia, later presumed killed in action. He has no known grave.
