Reginald Arthur Barnes, a Photographer's Assistant from London, enlisted on 1 May 1939 later volunteering for commando service and attached to No.3 Commando. Fusilier Barnes was reported wounded and missing 7 June 1944 at Normandy, France, subsequently confirmed prisoner of war.
