Percival Cowles was a Metropolitan Police Officer in 1939 serving at Stoke Newington Police Station, London. He later volunteered for commandos and was posted to No.5 Commando after his training. Service included Burma. Discharged from military service 9 May 1946. Resided Walthamstow, London, in 1948. Member of the Commando Association last residing Bognor Regis, Sussex.
